Can women take Xatral?
Hi. My urologist just prescribed Xatral XL 10mg for me. The first thing i found when I read the leaflet was "The medication is not for women" It freaked me out a little as the first medication he prescribed was Detrusitol which i found out is contraindicating to my urinary retention problem when i googled about the medicine online.
So i requested for an appointment immediately and asked him why he gave me Detrusitol. Thats when he prescribed me with Xatral. He even told me that i will have to take Detrusitol together with Xatral after 2 weeks of taking Xatral on a daily basis.
I am a 31 years old female and i am freaking out if my urologist is prescribing me with the right medicine.
Xatral is used to treat men with prostate problems.
Detrusitol is used to treat incontinence.
