    epilepsy

Epilepsy is the worst thing I have got from MS I had at least 5 big seizures yesterday in from of my mother wonderful and with the holidays and stuff. So my mother went with me to the doctors, so my doctor comes in and he is pissed off, next time he tells me I might die because once you start to seize your brain has a hard time going back. I think I have that right I just remember my mother starting crying I am telling her everything is fine.I do know he said to go the hospital via amblance. My life is just crazyNow I can't drive for at least 2 years this whole thing has been a nightmere. Just shouting out anyone have epilepsy. I do know that before this time I didn't have a seizure for almost 6 months, now with this time it wipes that out.

I have epilepsy like you. It sucks to be fighting two demons, but I have been luckier than you. My first seizure was in front of my subordinates, my employer, and a lot of subcontractors. Later I had one in the ER, which ultimately lead to my loss of license.

I have been stable for almost a year and have driving privileges now.

I will gladly talk to you about epilepsy.

      Hi saadbell,

I am sorry to hear about your seizures. The driving exclusion period is particularly difficult.

I have had MS related seizures before. Neuro told me that my previous MRI showed lesions in areas that were known for inducing seizures.

I took IV steroids straight away followed by anti seizure medication for a while.

I hope things settle down for you.

I also have ms and epilepsy came along with it. I had my first one 6 months after I was diagnosed with ms. When I have one my hubby has to call 911 for when it last over 5 minutes it can do some brain damages mine usually does. But I am lucky it has been 2 years since I had one. The meds I am on are Keppra and Lamictal and they help me. I hope you get the meds needed to help you.

          question

Is the waiting period two years for your particular state? It seems kind of a long waiting period to be seizure free. Know your state's waiting period and be proactive. Make sure that you are on the right medication for your seizures. See an epilepsy specialist along with a MS nuero if you need to.

          Good luck.
God Bless and have a good day, Mary
