Yes. I use them on my walking commute to and from work and like them lots. They really help distribute the workload across my body; helping with fatigue and issues with footdrop.
I found two DVD's very helpful - "Poles for Balance and Mobility" and "Poles for Hiking, Trekking and Walking" Both are produced by Adenture Buddies and feature Jayah Faye Paley. These DVD's have helpful tips and techniques for using poles.
Just Google "Poles for Balance and Mobility" to find the website and there are also videos on Youtube.
