    NF vs. SOY milk

    Hi Tara and everyone else,

I like to drink iced coffee. I have been making it with non fat milk. Would it be better to use soy milk?

I have been following the swank diet. I have always been a healthy eater.

    Thanks,
    Katie

    katie,
You will probably find soy is OK, but cocoanut milk products are probably easily obtained at regular supermarkets these days. I understand that there are cocoanut milk yoghurts available as well. Avoiding dairy is a very big hurdle to overcome. Good luck

I know Swank allows it and you can stick with their guidelines. Since you're asking, there is suggestive evidence that Milk proteins which are still present in Non Fat milk cause an immune reaction.

The thing is that SoyMilk and Almond Milk taste so much better than NF Milk anyway, that there's more than enough reason to switch.

          Hi Katie, Soy is out!

The original forms of soy used in Pacific Islander's diet were fermentated.
Its a legume, ferment it, and then it can be digested.

That's the only way I recommend consuption of soy!

#2. soy is one of the most genetically modified foods.
we are the first generation consuming GMO foods....researchers know what it does to the rats in the lab!

I do have a few vegetarians (who insist on their soy)....I tell them to eat organic temphe or miso.

suggestions: coconut milk, almond milk, rice milk

OK i bought almond milk, and I can get used to it!

I have already cut out butter and cheese.

What is your take on yogurt? Of course, fat and sugar free.

            Thanks,
            Katie
