    Going Crazy. What is this?

In 2003 I was walking out of my aunts house and I looked down at the snow and the brightness like blinded me. I then began to see gray floaters in my eye. I went to the eye doctor they told me they were just floaters and they would go away in a few days. The floaters turned into flashing and the next thing I know I have a small blind spot in my eye. I saw an eye specialist who said auto immune diseases cause these symptoms. I went to my doctor & had some tests ran for HIV and a bunch of other stuff and came up empty.

Last year I had a problem with the nerve in my toe. I was putting lotion on and I noticed that when I rubbed from my toe up my leg it felt like a spider web going up my leg. It would hurt a little in my toe as well. I went to my doctor and he ran a bunch of tests. My ANA was positive but, everything else was normal. About two months ago I set my elbow down on the table and screamed in pain. It was my nerve that hurt. When I touched my elbow/forearm in a certain spot it spidered up my arm. My doctor again gave me prednisone and like my toe the pain went away.

Now for about the past two weeks or so the nerve pain went into the top of my left hand. It sometimes feels like its burning and when I stretch the top of my hand I can feel the spot stretching. If I touch the top of my hand in that spot it spiders up my fingers. I felt today it now going into my right hand. My doctor does not know what is wrong with me and I demanded that he send me o a neurologist. I went to a rheumatologist a few years ago and tested negative for the rheumatoid factor and sarcoidosis. Sometimes I have muscle spasams. When I was on steroids I had a leg spasam that lasted three days. Sometimes my muscles feel week and then sometimes they feel better.

I don't know but, I can't into the neurologist until July 13th. I am about to go crazy trying to figure this out. I'm tired of worrying and I just want to know what's wrong with me and deal with it. It's much worse not knowing. Does anyone have any symptoms like this?

I am sorry that you are looking for answers. I am glad that you found us. I am glad that you are seeing a neuro next month. It will be here before you know it.

I am not deignosed yet so can understand what you are going throught. I do have muscle spasms and weekness. Mine are in my leg and arm all on the right side. I also have nerve pain.I am glad that you have a doctor that is helping you till you get some answers.

Just know that you are not alone as you look for answrs. We are here anytime you need us. It is so hard to feel so bad and not know what is going on. We all know that feeling.

I pray that your neuro will be able to get you on the road to getting the answrs that you need. Keep on posting anytime you need to.

    Lots of (((hugs)))

      Sending good thoughts your way.

I know July 13 seems like a long time away, but I'm surprised you managed to get in so quickly. I've pretty much always had to wait at least a month, usually longer, to get in to see a neurologist.

I'm sorry about the symptoms. I'm also not diagnosed.

I've dealt with muscle spasms/contractions/tightness, numb spots, vision problems, weakness, fatigue, cognitive problems, and a bunch of other things for years now. The good thing to know is that if they've ruled out all of the things that are likely to kill you, miserable as the symptoms are, they probably aren't deadly. (It's not much consolation, but I do remind myself with each new onslaught that I'm probably not going to die from it.)
Accepting reality is not the same as wanting to have a problem. It means accepting something that will be happening whether I want it or not.

Thanks guys! It's going to be a long battle. I have no idea what I have but, I think it's MS. Does anyone diagnosed have nerve pain in hands and feet? Like sometimes it hurts and other times it doesn't and then spiders up your hands or arms when you touch it?
