    Canadian MS Study Participants Needed

Ipsos Health (ipsoshealth.com), an independent market research company specializing in medical market research, will be conducting a confidential 15 minute online survey with multiple sclerosis patients across Canada. Ipsos will also be conducting some telephone interviews as well as in-person interviews at their facilities in Toronto and Montreal.

Virtually anyone with MS will qualify for the online survey. Participants will receive an honorarium of $50 (for the online survey), $125 (for the 60 minute phone interview), or $150 (for the 60 minute in-facility interview) as a token of appreciation for their views and opinions.

One of the companies developing treatments for multiple sclerosis is looking to better understand what it’s like to live with MS and what people with the condition think about some new treatment options that may become available in Canada, including surgical treatment and oral medication.

Here are some more objectives of the research:

    · To understand the extent to which current treatments are meeting patients’ needs and to what extent CCSVI might have the potential to meet their needs.
    · To better assess the future of MS. Is CCSVI the wave of the future?
    · How are patients hearing about CCSVI and what kinds of conversations are they having with their healthcare professionals concerning it so far?
    · What do patients think about the potential for oral medication? And what have they heard about it so far, if anything?
    · To what extent are patients interupting their current treatment because of CCSVI or waiting for other advances?
    · How are patients accessing CCSVI?
    · In general, what sorts of things do MS patients value in a treatment?

While we are hoping to share the results with MSWorld.org and the MS Society, all information gathered as part of the study will remain confidential and summarized in aggregate form; no information is ever linked to an individual.

I would like to reassure you that we act in accordance with the codes of conduct for market research regarding anonymity and confidentiality as outlined by the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA). The aim of this market research is to gain your views and is not in any way promotional.
