    Igg Index and O-Bands -

I received my Spinal Tap Report and it says my IGG Index is 0.6 (normal range) and my CSF is positive for four or more bands (it does not say how many).

    Vent:

I have been "talking" with Dr. Google today and first I found IGG Index is more of an indicator of MS and after another hour of reading Spinal Tap numbers really don't mean anything. Could be MS could be something else.

I know people say don't rely on google but I have seen two MS specialists, two ALS specialist and now back to MS Specialist. 4 years and my left side is useless. I am very frustrated.

Why did I get the LP?
Think of something you would die for, and live for it.

You got the LP because by itself, the results mean little, but in the big picture, when it's taken into consideration with your other test results, etc., it can be crucial in making a dx.

Ask Dr. Google for a reference to the McDonald's criteria for dxing MS. You'll see it has an important part to play in dx for a lot of people.
