    If ED meds aren't working

I've been on Cialis for the past 2 mos. or so and they aren't working.

Not even close to where my wife needs me to be. Anyway, we've got two kids under 2 which I'm sure doesn't help but ever since the younger one was born; we haven't had any success at all.

Besides Cialis, what other options do I have? Viagra is the same active ingredient so I've ruled that one out already.

My other concern is that I've been having bladder control issues, balance and coordination issues, and muscle weakness. Is this just another sign that things down south are well going south??? Opinions?

Are you on Ampyra? When it works it can help a lot of MS symptoms, like MS everyone is different but definitely worth a try. )Could likely help ED and bladder)

Also there are lot of little things when combined could help, besides proper exercise, diet, and sleep. Have a zinc level taste test done, zinc helps increase testosterone level. But you can get too much zinc, and living near the coast like VA is your levels may be good already.

And you may try “Acetyl L-Carnitine/Alpha Lipoic Acid” they help the body’s process of converting food energy to cell energy. And often help fatigue, that could be part of the issue.

As part of diet too soda/sugar is a major cause of ED, and I think fat also but I’m not sure on that. But I can tell you a healthy diet will make you feel better, see Tara’s Nutrition forum for help on figuring out what diet will help your issues.

Good luck I hope this helps

Wow, there's a lot in here that I was unfamiliar with. I'm going to see what I can find out/try on a lot of this stuff.

      I appreciate it.

        hey molex77,

hi molex, the most important thing i do, is lay on my back. let your lady do the work. using your energy, or rise in body temperature can cause fatigue that causes loss of wood Ampyra has helped with neurologic sexual dysfunction, and levitra helps getting the ball rolling. also, start on your back. trying to move around or change positions can be challenging. has your dr. checked your blood sugar and testosterone level. be well barry

I think this one works, but

the big but is that you need to inject your penis. OUCH!

I half wish the wife I married in '89 would today be interested enough today that I'd want to use it frequently. I miss that aspect of her personality.

Google Caverject or Edex (Alprostadil), either does the job from what I can tell. I found a link to a video that I didn't look at.

You can also Google penis injection for more info.

My PCP tells me it works well, he doesn't want to prescribe it saying I'd need to see a specialist and be taught what and how to do.

I'm glad I don't need it (yet), I've given myself well over a thousand shots - Copaxone and Rebif, and could do it, I think, it looks like a small needle, I still inject a med using a 23 1/2 gauge needle, but in my backside. Trivial.

I will say that being on Ampyra for 90 or so days, I continue to get erections, it seems to take longer to have an orgasm, the latter both good and bad. I haven't timed this, so please take this msg with a grain of salt. I think Ampyra has more (side) effects than the manufacturer reports, my spouse and I have noticed they've taken over 60 days to really notice, I do know that improved walking was the first and was rather visible around the 60 day mark. Again, I didn't keep track of time, YMMV.

I don't know how long the Ampyra phase II and III tests ran.

In my area - metropolitan NYC - I hear advts for the Boston Medical Group which I assume specializes in in Caverject or Edex (Alprostadil). I do know that both are much more expensive than Viagra or Cialis. I'm sure a happy wife is worth every penny.

Has anyone reading this had experiences they are willing to share? I bet there is a lot of interest in how well it works with MS.

Last topic and the chatty gardener will shut up for a moment. Barry's suggestion to get your testosterone levels checked is a good one. Mine went to 0, I think as a result of over a year of Novantrone infusions. I self inject testosterone, the creams never got my numbers high enough, and one has to be careful you don't transfer a cream to other family members - children, females, as well as young males can be badly injured by Testim and its competitors.

If anyone wants some hints on injecting T please feel free to contact me back channel. It is more difficult than the DMDs. My Tysabri infusion nurse helped a lot.

Hey Molex does your doctor have you taking neurontin for your MS? If so, this drug hampers the effect of viagra & cialis BIG time. Happened to me so neurontin was removed from my "diet". No other MS meds I have taken have hampered the ED pills for me. Good luck cuz I know this issue can be frustrating.....you are not alone.

              I hear you!
The sexual arousal Meds don't work for me either. I just gave up. It's not a circulation problem, a it's lack of sensation down their or the signals not getting to the brain.
I have to pee all the time now but I have a hard time doing that too. So I'll see how the urination meds work ( I just started yesterday.)

Stamen Medical Erec-Tech™ Auto-Erection Pump Therapy System

I didn't notice whether this was already brought-up here (no pun intended), but did anyone mention the Stamen pump? Google it for more info.

My urologist wrote me a script for it when I expressed to him that the ED drugs weren't quite working long enough for me.

Although a bit intimidating, initially, the pump works great. My girl and I love it! And I haven't even had my training appointment for it yet! (You could actually figure it out yourself with their instructions/documentation.)

I think it's worth a try to salvage your sex life. Especially if you're married and/or have a steady partner. Good luck!

I think viagra or cialis are helpful for ED treatment but if you go for some other medication try kamagra or kamagra oral jelly or generic levitra.number of people used these drug for impotence treatment, kamagra oral jelly is the most tested and successful gel liquid form of drug are available in variety of flavors.

I've posted this before...I've had ED problems for the past couple of years (not knowing it was possibly caused from MS). I've tried Cialis and Viagra. They did work great for me, but didn't like the side effects. My wife bought us a penis pump and my urologist suggested using the pump with a constriction (****) ring. It works extremely well! And it is a little erotic having my wife "pump" it up.

My erection isn't extremely hard, but it is at least hard enough to ge the job done. I love it because you can be more spontaneous without planning ahead to take a pill and no side effects!

                            Do some research on L-Arginine.

                            Google: L-Arginine Viagra

I would suggest starting to eat a super clean diet focusing mainly on vegan foods like fruits and veggies. Combine a new diet with increasing your workout plan should do wonders to your life.

Do you have any fixation on masturbation or porn? Is your wife attractive?
