    ROCK ME

    by Tracy 5-09

My fears hold me captive; I'm a hostage till dawn
Until prayer sets me free and my panic is gone
Nothing can harm you when Christ is your light
Keep God in the center; he'll make everything right

It's the night times that rock me; it's the darkness of pain
No sun to burn brightly and in comes the rain
It is Satan that taunts me and plants seeds of doubt
Then it's God that reminds me of what life's about

It's about love and acceptance and all that is truth
It's about being a friend - not a cynical sleuth
Look for the beauty and you'll always find gold
Search for the slime and it's your heart that will mold

Hi Tracy, and welcome to MSWorld!

Love your poem! You are very talented. I don't have any hidden talents, none that I have found yet anyway

The night time can be very scary for me sometimes- it's when I start to think too much about what might happen with my MS in the future. (not good to do I know)

Do you have any more poems? If so, would like to hear them!

        tracy,
that was beautiful. i too wake up at night in a panic and

i'm thankful for God to talk to
He holds me the whole night through
        He collects all my tears
        and calms all my fears
He wraps His Arms around me tight
        and banishes all my fright
all's i have to do is pray
for Him to help me til the break of day

not as eloquent as yours, but isn't it wonderful to express our love to Him with words. thank you for yours. may your nights be better as you lean on our Lord.
        God bless ya!
