    N-acetylcysteine

    Is anyone taking N-acetylcysteine?

    Yep, every day.

I credit it with keeping the flu at bay last winter (I don't get vaccinated), plus it's an excellent antioxidant. Research indicates that NAC does reduce the incidence of infections (colds & flu), and helps you get well faster if you do get sick.

      Thanks

      Thanks Sequoia:
I found the mention of a study funded by Teva in which NAC was given in conjunction w/Copaxone I couldn't find the results on line, but I thought it was interesting.

While I do not take NAC, I do take NAG (N-Acetyl Glucosamine). Google "n acetyl glucosamine multiple sclerosis" for information on how NAG appears to prevent myelin damage in the MS mouse model.
