    New to forum

Hello everyone. I am new to the forum, but not new to MS. Was diagnosed in 2001 after double vision and MRI's. Was on Avonex (4years), had our first child, changed to Copaxone, had second child, restarted Copaxone, and did quite well through all of that. Had only a few minor flares. Now, I have had 2 new cervical cord lesions in the past 4 months, luckily only with sensory symptoms, but still worrisome in the cord. Had 3 courses of IV steroids since Feb and now am switching to Rebif - in my second week of titration.

I was feeling very comfortable with my MS for several years, but now I am nervous about it again. Also, I don't have very much patience for feeling poorly, so it is hard for me to take the meds that give me side effects. I am lucky that I have very few bothersome or disabling effects, however they are still there and make me nervous.

So, that is my story. Sorry to ramble. I will probably be on now and gain, but I have a busy job and 2 small kids, so, no promises!!! Thanks!

Feel lucky to be doing so well!

    hi there

Busy lady for sure. Hope you can fit in some "you" time. It is good for the soul.

MS can be a scary thing, so come back and visit. I know that finding this place has helped me a lot.

Mshizzy, welcome but not for the reason. You are very busy and one of the things that may work to your favor is your not giving in attitude. Do you go to a regular neuro or do you go to an MS specialist? I know that when I switched to specialist, I started moving forward. I cannot take the injectables and went to Tysabri and it has been great for me but everyone is as different as the MS.

          Thanks

          Hi again,

Thanks for the welcome. I do see an MS specialist. We discussed Rebif vs. Tysabri and decided to go this route at this time. Not sure how it will work out...we'll see.

Just want to say hello, and welcome to MS World

Let's hope you are feeling better soon so you can tend to your little ones and manage your work

Good luck with your Rebif, and hopefully it will keep any relapses at bay.

Stop by when you have a minute and let us know how you're doing

            Take care,
