Hello everyone, I sure hope someone can help me with some answers on this issue.
I am on LTD and SSD. I receive LTD through my employer, which is just supplemental to my SS, and is really a pitance, however I am allowed to keep my healthcare which is most important.
I have been faced with a real issue. My live in boyfriend is the person who provides EVERYTHING for me. A roof over my head, financial stability etc. He lost his job and has had a terrible time finding work in this economy. He is considering relocating out of state to a place where my company does not practice. I am not working, but I would obviously have to follow him wherever he went, or i would be homeless. Plus, we do plan on getting married once the seas calm.
Has anyone faced this issue before? Will I lose my LTD coverage if I have to leave the state? I am clueless on this, and I do not trust the insurance company by asking them. ( I am still in the fight with the company for approval for LTD, but they are paying for me while they are making their final decision, going on 2 years )
If anyone has any information, I would be forever grateful. I am terribly worried over this
