    Russian Teacakes

    Ingredients
    1 cup margarine or butter, softened
    1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    Confectioners' sugar

    Directions
    1 Heat oven to 400 degrees.
    2 Mix margarine, 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, and vanilla.
    3 Stir in flour, nuts, and salt until dough holds together.
    4 Shape into 1-inch balls.
    5 Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    6 Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set but not brown.
    7 Roll in confectioners' sugar while warm; cool.
    8 Roll in confectioners' sugar again.

    MAKES 4 dozen cookies
