    Country Fried Chicken

    Ingredients
    1/4 cup oil
    2/3 cup all-purpose flour
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    5.3-ounce can evaporated milk
    2-1/2 to 3 pound broiler-fryer chicken cut up with skin removed

    Directions
    1 Heat oil in large skillet.
    2 Combine flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and pepper in large plastic food bag.
    3 Pour milk into shallow bowl.
    4 Dip chicken into milk and then shake in flour mixture to coat.
    5 Fry chicken in oil over moderate heat 25 minutes or until meat near bone is no longer pink.

    MAKES 4 to 6 servings
