Ingredients
1 level cup brown sugar
1 level cup shortening
2 eggs
7/8 cup milk
2 level cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 level tsp baking powder
1 level cup raisins {chopped fine}
2 level cups raw rolled oats
Directions
1-Cream sugar and shortening.
2-Add eggs, well beaten, and milk.
3-Measure flour after sifting, then sift again with salt and baking powder.
4-Beat into egg and sugar and add the very finely chopped raisins.
5-Work in the rolled oats and drop by the spoonful onto a cookie sheet.
6-Bake in hot oven.
