    Beef Casserole

    Can Be Frozen

    Ingredients
    1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
    2 Tbsp shortening
    3 large onions, chopped
    3 green peppers, chopped
    1-1/2 cups canned tomatoes
    2 cups canned creamed corn
    1 Tbsp salt
    2 Tbsp Chili powder
    1 (8oz)pkg noodles
    1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded

    Directions
    1-Cook ground beef in shortening until meat turns white.
    2-Add onions and pepper and cook until slightly browned.
    3-Add tomatoes, corn, salt, and chili powder; cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
    4-Cook noodles according to package directions; drain and combine with meat mixture.
    5-Stir in shredded cheese, and spoon mixture into two 2-quart baking dishes.
    6-Bake, covered, at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.

    YIELDS: 9 servings

    IF FROZEN--thaw before heating and baking. Or, if not quite thawed, add a few minutes to baking time.
