Vit. D
Saw my neuro in late Sept. and he recommended I get my level of D checked. I had been on 2000 iu D3 daily for about six weeks at that time. My results came back at 45 with the range being 30-100 for normal. He is a neuro opthalmologist specializing in MS and is also a clinical prof at the UW. We discussed the potential of Vit D3 making a difference in MS. He told me the researchers are still undecided as to how much we need to be taking and whether or not it really helps with larger doses. I know huge doses can be harmful to ones liver so unless a person knows for sure they are deficient they should not just self medicate on larger doses. More is not necessarily better.
