How to tell my kids' friends?

I have had MS for almost 2 years, I have hid from almost everyone...but now I'm going out more and doing what I can.

I have been helping out at my kids school, my kids are OK with my using my rollator while I am there. Some of the kids at the school have seen me and asked me what was wrong, last time they saw me I didn't have a rollator with me.

What do I tell them? Last week when one asked I told them I was fine and the rollator helped me, help out at the school. They just looked at me and said "OK"

Not that I am embarresed about my MS, but I don't know how to explain it to a kindergarden to grade 8 kid?

I would just say that sometimes you need a little help to walk, and that is what it is for. If they want to know more, they will ask, but otherwise that's really the information they want--the what and the simple why, not the complicated why of MS.

i would say pretty much what you said. maybe not in the same words but what you said was good
