    JCV

I am JCV + . Is there a medication that i can take?

Are you thinking about medications to treat your MS symptoms or are you discussing medications that are designed to reduce relapses and hopefully prevent further progression? The latter are referred to as DMTs (disease modification treatments).

As for the DMTs, options depend on your diagnosis - whether relapsing remitting, secondary progressive active, secondary progressive not active, or primary progressive.

BEing JCV positive raises your risk for PML. PML has been linked to the drugs natalizumab (Tysabri), dimethyl fumarate (Tecfidera), Fingolimod, and ocrelizumab (Ocrevus).

I know for TySabri, they actually look at a titre value of JCV to determine your risk for PML, combined with the length of time on the medication - they may extend the dosing interval or discontinue it's use.

This is really a conversation you should have with your neurologist. In the interim, here is information from the NMSS on both DMTs and symptomatic treatment.
