This is a heads-up for anyone it may help. Biogen has changed their $0 Copay program.
Effective January 1, 2021, there will be an annual copay cap on the amount of assistance that patients can receive over a one-year period. Patients will be limited to a maximum assistance amount of $20,000 per calendar year. You will be notified when you are approaching your maximum allowable copay assistance amount for this program of $20,000. Once this cap is reached, you will be responsible for paying 100% of your total copay amount.
I've always been very grateful for being able to receive this DMT under this program. Since I receive it in a small clinic setting I don't anticipate big impacts but it could be meaningful for those getting it in hospital settings. I wondered if this program would change, after reading about some of the developments at Biogen over the past year.
