    Asprin and Tecfidea?

Can anyone tell me what strength of aspirin they take before taking their pill? I have been told two different things or maybe three. One said take a 325 mg non-coated aspirin 30 minutes before and one said take a 325 mg coated aspirin 30 minutes before . I also had one person tell me to take a low dose aspirin so I am kind of confused. What do any of you do for the flushing symptoms? Thanks.

I only occasionally have flushing. I keep 81mg chewable aspirin on hand and within a few minutes I am fine. I have taken full strength when that is all that is available to me. Both work about the same for me.

Section 2.1 of the prescribing information for Tecfidera says this:

"administration of non-enteric coated aspirin (up to a dose of 325 mg) 30 minutes prior to TECFIDERA dosing may reduce the incidence or severity of flushing."

That's right from the official source.

I used to take a low dose aka "baby aspirin" at then same time I took my Tecfidera. I didn't need the aspirin after being back on Tecfidera for a month. I had to go off and on it for surgeries.
