I've been on Plegridy for 6 years. I got on it early as part of a research study that monitored side effects for about a year in people switching from another interferon. In the first year or so, I only had side effects if I forgot to pre-medicate (and I use an 8-hour analgesic that's called "arthritis formula"). About 2 years in, I started having mild fever and aches pretty much exactly 13 hours after the shot, but not with every lot of medication.
This particular lot that I just finished up (mine is delivered in a package of 2 pens) seemed to hit me way harder. I'm 48 hours in and still feeling a little residual sluggishness.
Does anyone else have the feeling that the side effects might change based on the batch of medication? I used to work in chemical engineering, but not pharmaceuticals, so I'm not sure how likely variation is in that world.
