I haven't been visiting these boards for almost a year . I noticed that I received a news post from 'Multiple Sclerosis News Today' that a natural food supplement called N-acetylglucosamine is being studied as a therapeutic agent to protect or repair the myelin sheath . Does anyone on these boards have any information about this ?

Nice to see you back. Not sure if this what you received, but it is an earlier publication. The authors found success in mice. They believe low levels of this in humans correlate to myelin and nerve fibers damage and a more progressive and disabling disease course, but hadn't published the corresponding studies for correlation as of 10/2020.
As far as I can tell, the authors started down this path in 2007 at UCI. I am not sure if they started any human trials yet.
