Have to stop Beta for awhile

Need to vent a little. Been on Betaseron since Feb, 2012. Thought I was having a relapse, so went to er they told me they thought I have bronchitis. Doctor spoke with my neuro and was told to stop the betaseron until he can see me on this coming Wednesday. Even though the side effects have been yucky, I'm afraid of being off of it. Just pray for me. Thanks for listening.

But that can be said of all DMDs.

The best we have is the hope DMDs slow progression. For me I believe Beta has done that.

Ditto! I got 4 new lesions during the 14ish months I was off DMDs to start a family. Haven't gotten a single new one in the three years I've been on Beta. I definitely believe it helps me!

And OP, I will pray for you! That's interesting; did they explain why they wanted you to go off Beta? Could it make your bronchitis worse somehow??
2001: 1st 2 relapses, "probable MS." 2007: 3rd relapse. Dx of RRMS confirmed by MS specialist. Started Cpx. (Off Cpx Feb 08-Mar 09 to start a family; twins!) Dec '09: Started Beta. Oct '13: Started Tecfidera. May '15: Considering Gilenya.
