GREAT Discount Card for people with Existing Conditions
My name is Michael I am 38 yrs old and was diagnosed with relapsing MS in May '05. Right now I take Gilenya to slow down my MS flare-ups, Detrol LA for my incontinence, Lyrica for sharp pains due to nerve damage, and Tizanidine (generic for zanaflex) for the spasticity in my legs. My Gilenya, Detrol LA and Lyrica I am on their patient assistance programs but the Tizanidine does not have one so I have to pay out of pocket. I contacted Zanaflex for the PAP but they said they discontinued that since now they have a generic form.
I signed up for the Ameriplan but was hesitant at first because I had the Walgreens w-card to save me money on my prescriptions but still paying $212 a month for my Tizanidine. I got my Ameriplan discount card and actually got to pay $170 for my Tizanidine. Not too bad for only paying $20 for the discount card which also includes Dental, Vision, and Chiropractic discounts for my whole household. So My wife and myself are both covered for $20 a month.
