    Second opinion

Still in limbo a hear out from having this possibility thrown in my face. It's all the more heart breaking because my neuro had me all excited (yeah, it's migraines and here are some pills that can stop the attack?) and then floored me at the suggestion of ms.

A local news station did a brief story about a woman who had been in limbo but finally got her dx after 12 years. In the story comments online, several viewers raved about two local neurologists. I have been happy with my neuro but wonder if a second opinion is worth it? It would be helpful, if for no other reason, because these neurologists are in my insurance network while none of my co-pays for meds or office visits are counted toward my deductible now.

If you feel its worth it then go for it. I would say the majority of people with ms are not still with their first neuro. I'm on my third, and he is an ms specialist that doesn't accept insurance so I have to pay him out of pocket. But his visits and prescriptions do count toward my deductible. If that is a big consideration for you then it may be worth it.

Have you had all the blood work, mri's etc.? I probably wouldn't do a second opinion until my current neuro was DONE -- either with a dx or not, then I would get a second to check opinion of first.

I would totally switch for insurance reasons, however. Just re-read your post .

Hope you're staying inside ... scary cold in ON right now and I bet you are way colder than we are here down south.

Big breath too ... just because it's mentioned ... doesn't mean it is. Lots of things have to get ruled out when things are seen on an mri ... very often it's ms that goes .
