There was an article recently in the New York Times magazine about underreported depression concurrent with pregnancy. The case that they used was a woman who committed suicide while she was pregnant. You can take antidepressants but it is contraindicated. I was wondering if you had a history of major depressive episodes and hormone-related depression (PMDD) does it increase the likelihood of developing depression during the pregnancy and any experiences to share would be appreciated.
