CHANGES AT MSWORLD - MSWORLD'S CLOSURE

We began with a mission and purpose to help others living with MS.

We were excited to get going!

And hit a few bumps along the way…

However, in all seriousness, we remain grateful for our amazing volunteers, members & all who have made MSWorld a valuable resource for all!

July 10, 2024, we celebrated the goodness of these past 28 years. With a heavy heart, we will be ending our services.

We need a financial miracle to keep going forward.

We thank all for your support.

MSWorld's website will close on October 16, 2024.

“I personally want to wish all of you the guidance to find this type of support, as so many do here. Also, my prayers and love extends beyond my understanding. It has been a pleasure to steward this journey.”

God Bless you, Kathleen

    Facebook Group

As MS World approaches its closure, a Facebook group has been created to continue our conversation.

The name of the group is "Multiple Sclerosis Collective," and there is a link in my profile.

We currently have 21 former and current MS World members. While Facebook can never replace MS World, the group is a place for old and new MS friends to connect.

I hope you will join us.

    Blessings to one and all.

      Yes thank you Marco
It probably will be the end of the line for me as I’ve never had Facebook before and it only ever sounded like trouble but I know every body has it.
it took a lot of bravery on my part just to post on here. You guys all made me feel comfortable
      Thanks to all !!!

        Hey oceanpride!

        I never joined Facebook either.

I don't have the energy to acknowledge or comment on every friend or family member post, photo, video, etc.

Don't want to offend or hurt their feelings by not responding in a timely manner.

It takes me a long time to type anything.

I wonder if I join Marco's group, will I have to sign up for my own FB page as well?

All Facebook accounts have their own page, but there's no requirement to populate it.

Similar to MSWORLD.ORG, you can create an account—even an alias—and participate as much as you like. There are accounts that remain blank years after they are created.

You also don't have to befriend anyone, or feel obligated to respond to other's posts.

          It's really up to you.

            Hi Marco!

Thank you for helping me to understand FB a lot better!

              Same here.

I wasn't interested in joining Facebook, until one of my best friends finally convinced me to. You don't need to post anything, or even add a picture to your profile.

I'm mostly just friends with family and a few good friends. I'm glad I joined, because it's a way to still feel connected with them, especially since I don't get to see many of them anymore. I also have family that live in other states, so we stay in touch thru FB. You can also add privacy settings to your account, so it's not visible to just anyone.

Like Marco said, you can use an alias for your name, and it's up to you how much you want use it. It's easy to use, even my 98 old MIL recently joined. I hope you'll both join us there! (There is a comment in Marco's FB group asking what our username is here, so we know who are.)

I'm excited to join in, but will have to wait until our son and family from Argentina move to their rental and the chaos lessens. Two active grandkids seem like 4 or more. lol

My grown children have been wanting me to join for years now!

Thanks, Marco, for creating the Facebook page. I'm definitely a Facebook user. In fact, I suspect that I'll be more likely to go there than I was here. Many years ago, when MSWorld, was much more active, I was here a lot. But, over the years, even being a moderator, it sometimes wasn't the first place I'd migrate to when I had my phone out.

I submitted a request to join Multiple Sclerosis Collective. I'll look forward to seeing some of you there.

Speaking of aliases -- Faith was my alias here. It's my middle name. You'll see me as Sheralyn at Multiple Sclerosis Collective after I am able to make a post there.
