Just curious if anyone has had back surgery and how long was your recovery? Had mine in May and am still suffering from major stiffness and muscle spasms in my legs.

galbert, I am sorry you are having problems.I haven’t had surgery but I was wondering if you found relief for the reason you did?? I Hope the stiffness and cramps are getting a little better. -
I am learning first hand that some injuries and surgeries can get very complex when they are combined with MS. A few days after I got home from the hospital from this back fracture the muscles around my lungs tightened up so much I couldn’t breathe.
Normally I take baclofen and for muscle spasms but baclofen wasn’t helping. They assigned my case to a neurosurgeon who prescribed Zaniflex. I’m not sure if it will help but I think it helped a little bit last night.Comment

Symptoms began in JAN02
- Dx with RRMS in OCT03, following 21 months of limbo, ruling out lots of other dx, and some "probable stroke" and "probable CNS" dx for awhile.
- In 2008, I was back in limbo briefly, then re-dx w/ MS: JUL08.
- Betaseron NOV03-AUG08; Copaxone20 SEPT08-APR15; Copaxone40 APR15-present
- Began receiving SSDI / LTD NOV08. Not employed. I volunteer in my church and community.
