    MS Hug

Does MS hug ever happen on just one side and involve the neck and shoulder?

Sure. There's nothing consistent with MS or the HUG.

My understanding about the MS "hug" is that it's usually around the torso, causing a tightening that can be quite painful. Here's an article that explains this - https://www.mstrust.org.uk/a-z/ms-hug

When I had this, it wrapped around my chest/torso and the description I used was like having a boa constrictor squeezing me, making it hard to breathe!

If whatever you are experiencing becomes very painful, a call to the Dr. might be helpful.

        I was going to

        Ask the same question.
My squeezing/spasms though are on the right side only - from just below my ribs in the front spreading up my ribs & to the side & little to the back. I had an ultrasound to rule gallbladder problems, just in case. (ha, in a way - I wish- something fixable, for once.)

Looks like from that article one side is common & and various places are common too.
