Botox bladder injections

Wife dx'd with UUI . tried 4 different meds , no luck . going through 5-6 diapers daily and changing bed sheets very morning . taking Toviaz currently . Uro has suggested Botox injections . Question is : Does anyone have first hand experience with Botox ? did it help ? how often self-cath after injections ?Thanks .

Yes!

I had a botox injection in my bladder about 7 years ago. It was sort of painful, but not for long. My issue was that it worked too well. I was unable to urinate. Had to self cath until it wore off. My bladder issues are not so bad that I felt like I needed to have another. I wish you well.
