I am so sorry you are experiencing this. Many of us have it chronically. Vertigo or dizziness can be caused by many things.

MS can cause dizziness due to damage from a brain lesion. It can cause lightheadedness, off-balance feeling, and less often a feeling of vertigo.

Inner ear problems can also cause a feeling of dizziness or vertigo.

Since your is long lasting it is probably best you speak to your neurologist about it as it leans more towards your MS. However, the neurologist will decide what is wrong by looking in your ears as well and can send you to an ENT if needed.

Bottom line, check with your physician ASAP to decide how to proceed from here. There are medications that can be used to treat your condition so that you don't have to suffer through it.

    Best of luck.

Dizziness and Insomnia were my first symptoms. That was over 25 years ago and I still get these awful feelings. The dizziness is so hard to deal with. And as far as insomnia... let's just say I have to use my little pill friends to sleep almost every night. I hate this.

Wish I could give you advice about the dizzies. A lot of things can cause you to feel this way which only complicates the whole mess. Feel better soon!

The only cure for insomnia is to get more sleep.
