Yes Yes yes~!!!
It has gone from poor recall, using many tools to help me remember ( like alarms to remind me to take meds) to total black out moments.
I have used supplements, changed my diet and detoxed my poor liver/kidneys that get overwhelmed with all the meds, and chemicals we ingest. It made my brain fog clear and feel better over all.
Why are YOU asking? I wonder...What is going on with you?
Warmly, JanI believe in miracles~!

NeuroPsych testing shows good cognitive function, however I have "glitches" which the neuropsych cannot explain
I am at a high risk for cognitive dysfunction, however, MS is not the only cause for the "high risk" category.Diagnosed 1984

You see, I have been fighting to get back my LTD benefit. I won the first battle and they awarded me the remainder of the first 2 years saying I could no longer do my present job. BUT now I a fighting the last 2 years.
Providers have been uncooperative except for my beloved Primary. I have multiple diagnoses which are stable but together make my life challenging. These specialists think I am seeking disability! I already have it!
I already HAD LTD benefit as well..just fighting to keep it. OH how I wished that my "black outs" could be documented well enough, along with my EEGs showing slowing processing issues. Still.. I fight.. and fight for this benefit.
Sorry but your post seem to speak to my frustration..
thanks for your response~

I took a Spanish class last summer at my University (before being dx'ed) and failed it. I would be in tears of frustration during exams when everything I'd studied and studied just... wasn't there. I'd never had this problem before, I learn things easily, and even though I knew Spanish would be challenging, I expected to at least retain some of what I learned. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. It was like everything I learned just bounced right off my brain.
As far as things like 'where did I leave my keys' - I have no problem there. I often can't bring up certain words, and have lots of 'brain farts' as we've always called them. It's very frustrating, and makes me feel so stupid. No sir, I don't like it.
Diagnosed August 30, 2013.

My MS affects my short term memory quite a bit.
I have times where it like swiss cheese, and there will be periods where it is very sharp.
My neuro psych evaluation indicated significant problems with my cognitive and memory functions and even went so far to indicate that MS has actually affected my IQ.

It would probably be best to do it thru a disability lawyer.
I would tell you my whole nightmare story but it is a very common story that I am sure you have heard before.

Do I have memory loss?????????????
I can remember everything from the past but yesterday or what I did this morning...Sometimes I can tell you sometimes, I am clueless.
I keep myself in shape wandering around trying to remember what I was looking for.
Don't know if it is the MS or the MMJ or both?
I also have trouble remembering where I parked my car or remembering how to exit large buildings (hospitals, medical buildings) so I am near where I parked.
Sometimes I have to walk around for a while to find my car.

One letter of first word helps me think of word
I know, it's frustrating. My friend and I were the only ones to get an "A" in statistics in college. Now I can't remember words I want to use. But if I describe it, and ask my family for the first letter, I can sometimes remember the word.
This all seems to have come so fast. For years, worked, no balance issues. Then "boom," now it's bed to wheelchair, no balance at all, conversations take up too much energy for me.
I used to always b the one who helped. Now, not before, everyone tells me how nice I look. Did I not look nice until now? hmmm
Looking nice now doesn't help me.
