    Other Support Groups Online??

Does anyone know if there is an online support group as good as this one for Breast Cancer patients. I ask because along with MS and diabetes, I have just had a mastectomy and I need to find somewhere online that helps me with the breast cancer coping as much as this one does for MS.

    Thanks

    do not know specifically

I do not know if that has specific like this.

But, there is a thread in the message boards that has several of us that have gone through this process and our stories.

There is also a website called patients like me that has several sub sets and they might have a link for that. I have not looked there recently.

      more info

My email is in my profile. You can send me an email.

I am part of a telephone support group that has a telephone meeting once a month of people that have MS and cancer.

This is all I can think of right now.

Make sure that you have utilized everything that is availabe in your area in regards to your local breast cancer support in your area. Concact your local Kohlman (spelling is wrong) and utilize all the resources through them also.

          Breast Cancer Listserv and Helpline

An online listserv for breast cancer can be found by googling ACOR Breast Cancer (sorry, I can't post a URL since I am too new to this list and have not posted the required number of times).

The breast cancer ACOR listserv is one of many cancer listservs run by the Association of Cancer Online Resources. I don't know how good this particular online resource is but I am on 2 of their other listservs (ovarian cancer and kidney cancer)and have found them to be helpful.

I'd like to also recommend an organization that you might like to call. It is called SHARE and they run a breast cancer helpline (866-891-2392) and an ovarian cancer helpline. All the women who answer the calls are survivors. There may be other women who have breast cancer, MS, and/or diabetes that they can hook you up with.

There is one woman on the SHARE helpline who has had MS, breast cancer, and ovarian cancer. Her name is Lorraine; you can let the volunteer on the breast cancer helpline know that Lorraine mainly volunteers on the ovarian cancer helpline and they can ask her to give you a call.

          Good luck.
          Hope this helps.
PPMS: Dx 9/13 by local neurologist; confirmed by 2 ms specialists in fall/winter 2013-14.
Meds: Rapaflo, Neurontin, multi-vitamin, calcium, baby aspirin, blood pressure medicine. The list keeps increasing as the neuro tackles each symptom.

Seconding the ACOR link - it is a .org site established by the spouse of a woman with cancer. It is an amazing site.

I am sorry about your Breast Cancer. Wouldn't it be nice if Nature allowed only one disease per person? I hope you are healing well.
