Nauseous when looking to one side?

This is the second time I've gotten suddenly dizzy and nauseous when looking to one side and holding my eyes there. Something new. Does anyone know where this symptom would come from?

YESSS~!!! In vestibular therapy now for dizziness when moving eyes up or down or moving neck to side. In fact, when I was driving to my PT appt for this, I had to turn my head for traffic and suddenly got so nauseated and dizzy that it affected my session and we had to stop.

But there are evaluations and treatment for this. The therapist is trying to get the brain/inner ear/and bottom of feet to "communicate" and get things in balance more.

She does not promise to correct this 100% due to this being MS, but hopefully it is starting to improve somewhat.

Tell your neuro and let me know what they say.

LOL Funny, indeed! What a coincidence. It's not severe, and I really have to be looking out of the corner of my eye for this to happen. I'll be seeing the neuro-ophth this week and will mention it to her.

Please let me know what your Ophl says. I have no eye issues that they can see, even when I had the most blurry vision issues. It is IN the brain though.. duh

I will let you know. I think it's the vestibular nerve where this originates. My primary reason for seeing her is because of the speckled vision that's been progressing since December, but she'll probably ask me about other symptoms as well. If it's vestibular nerve, the balance and dizziness specialist would be the person to see.

When do you start the vestibular therapy?

I am in the middle of my therapy for it now. Had a bad reaction on my way to last week's session. Paid my $40 copay only to sit there and have her take my BP.
Turned my head while driving there and it set me off
with more dizziness, nausea. But I think the exercises are helping some.

              Thanks..keep me posted!

How frustrating. I sure hope it helps more than just some.

Here's the explanation I got. My docs tend to be very cryptic. She said that looking that way was taxing the vestibular system and that with everything else that's been happening, maybe my migraine trigger tolerance is lower than usual, or something like that. Whatever that means. lol I'm sure it's tied together in her mind somehow, but the dots aren't connecting in mine.
