I moved back to Ohio to be closer to family since between my MS and my son's disabilities I felt that living 3000 miles from anyone who would really help us if needed seemed like a bad idea.
I have seen 2 different neuro's out here and ......WOW! Bad experiences both times. I saw one in Ashland, KY and went all the way up to OSU in Columbus. The first one didn't even look at my medical records, the other did but they both told me I look fine! The OSU Dr who had a very respectable resume, mostly asked a few questions and then put me off on a research coordinator so that I might get into some drug trials since I was self pay at the time.
I am about to look in Chillicothe and Cincinnati for someone and I am going to call the MS Society but, I was hoping someone in my geographic area may be able to suggest a VIABLE neuro. I do have medicaid now, I know my treatment will most likely be based on what little they pay, but it has to be better than the nothing I am doing now....
