    Kind of new here....

I am currently in the process of moving to a new state when we didn't expect to be moving for months so I am jumbling everything and trying to make it happen as fast as I can.

I am not sure if it is bad form or not. Totally not allowed etc. If it is, I am sorry and I will hush

Can I ask for suggestions for a new Neuro in my new area?

Would that be Hawaii, or do we have a newer state? ;-)

Ask away, although some geographical areas may not be well represented on this site, and you'll have to bump your post a couple of times or get referrals through other avenues.

It would also help if you let us know what kind of Neuro you're looking for.
General or MS specialist? Laid back or aggresive? Easy to contact or "whenever"?

Finding a new Neuro can be a chore, finding the right Neuro for you is tougher.

WELCOME KRISCAKE!!!!! Great to have you here but sorry why. And your question as far as a neurologist goes, is absolutely fine. Everyone around here is very helpful and will give you tips on whatever you ask. They are also very sportive, as we can relate to what you're going through MS wise. I look forward to seeing more of you around after you are settled in. Good luck

Speak for yourself, Dave. While I do attempt to be supportive, nobody would describe me as sportive these days.

heh thanks for making me laugh. packing boxes has me grumpy. i needed that....

I meant "new" as in new to me. Hawaii would be nice but not going to happen. We are moving to the Raleigh, NC area and I am starting rebif next week and moving the next. Not really the best plans ever but it is what it is.

My current neuro specializes in ms and I would like the same. Wouldn't mind actually seeing a female neuro but it isn't totally necessary.

I would also like a dr that isn't just about the drugs. I would like someone that is into whole body care. (I had to mention vitamins and alternative therapies to my current dr.)

Any suggestions or thoughts would be great.

            Thank your help.
