    Blurry Vision

Lately, my eyes have become so blurry I can hardly read. I got glasses after a bout of optic neuritis, but I can't see out of those either. I think it's all the meds I'm on. Of course, my fear is optic neuritis again. Just got over a flare and didn't have any Will it do me any good to go to an optometrist to get my prescription

Has anyone else had trouble with their vision due to meds?

Sorry, I can't answer your question.

Just wanted to give this a bump up.

Guess I'm the only one. Hope it's not my optic neuritis again.

It could be that your Prescription has changed, time for this is not a factor. I say go back to the Optometrist. You may to need to see an Ophthalmologist or Neuro Ophthalmologist though. If the problem is a Vision Alignment Problem Prisms can be put in your lenses. However since this is usually a fairly short term problem it may be best to see if it gets better. The Prism Glasses can be saved to use when you have the Problem though.

        Definitely go see the Optometrist/Ophthalmologist.

YESSS!! Blurry vision affected my job, reading and even TV. It goes from slightly blurry to all out blurry where NOTHING is clear. I also get "shadows" above letter I am trying to read and halos over lights.

Last 2 eye exams good,no optic nerve problems, with slight change in RX for glasses. Even with new prescription the blurriness would return. And I have never had ON.

Also I get dizzy and my eyeballs sore when I look up. Think that may be more due to spasticity. Sometimes I get pain in my eyeballs.

Had surgery, and my vision CLEARED for several months, then over course of a few months returned to blurriness.

Now I have new glasses and no more blurry vision.. so far.. so good. But I do have severe dry eyes due to another autoimmune problem, Sjogren's, so the Ophlamologist MD added plugs to my tear tucts. I think that is helping. She thinks MY blurry vision is more due to Sjorgren's and taking too much Restatsis. Hmm.. I am not sure.

I know this is the same for you.. so do not know what else to say.

My vision became "smokey" or blurred along time ago..didn't know I had MS then. I awoke one night after partying late. The room was so smokey, I thought there was a fire. I got up to check but there was nothing. It was only years later that I became aware that MS affected vision this way. Many years later I still long to see clearly. Hope you can get your sight cleared up. They tell me I should go to a neuro-opthalmologist. Ugg! another specialist.
