    Wood Floors and wheelchairs

We're getting ready to put in wood floors in our home because my wheelchair is too tough on the carpeting. We're looking at Pergo or Engineered flooring. Does anyone have any experiences with either of these floors that they can share with me.

I would go with the Pergo. We put new wood floors in our house earlier this year. We chose engineered wood but found out it is more easily scratched and damaged than Pergo

      Hi Joe C,

I had Pergo installed in the bathrooms of my home. No scratches or problems with related to water. Pretty pleased.

One note: If you install or even have a pro do it, there is the possibility of a "proud edge" certainly not a big problem but when the light catches it... annoys me to this day.

Joe C... forgot. 10 years worth of use too.
