Just an FYI, I have been approved for SSDI 6 weeks after applying in NJ.
My mom knows someone at SS who can view the file through her computer (but she has no influence on the decision). She said that the approval was based on the medical not the mental. According to my mental I could do an entry level job. I was a corporate director making six figures :-(
My medical condition is that both hands are numb, bottoms of feet are numb, spasticity in right calf and extreme fatigue. I need a walker to walk long distances and a cane for balance.
I was also approved for LTD by Met Life . Theirs was also based on medical.
FYI, on the mental I am currently in an Intensive Outpatient Psych program due to depression and suicidal thoughts.
