    Not a good time

Last Sunday I slipped and hit my left hand on the counter Looked like I might have broken my middle finger. Put my hand in bowl of ice. Because it was Sunday evening and my Packers were getting ready to play, we decieded to wait & see how it was in morning.

Of course Monday morning it was not better and I had my monthlt IV at the MS Clinic so I went there. They agreed, get an x-ray.

What a day--called primary dr, sent me for x-ray. Then stop at dr's office, yes I broke the middle finger. Primary referred me to hand specialist of course at different location. He took more x-rays, froze & "adjusted" the finger. He then sent me to another location to have a splint made.

Started hand adventure at 1:30, finally home at 7pm. My hubby was not a happy camper

Now I have another problem, I'm scheduled to take my driver's test with hand controls Oct 19th.

I did try to drive. Only problem is using the blinker. I guess when it rains, it pours

I'll practice more over the weekend and just go for it.

I'll have this splint on for atleast 6 weeks. And I want to get mt driving license handled before the snow.

    bless your heart!

    or rather your finger, toot!
what a day! it never ceases to amaze me how a 1 second fall can mess so much up!
Good thing is that they were able to straighten out your finger!

I've never tried to drive with hand controls, not sure my numb uncoordinated hands could handle it! but it sounds like you're doing well if the blinker is your only problem.
hang in there, and just keep practicing! i bet you'll get that blinker working in no time!
if not, move to KY where i used to live, blinkers there were optional!
take care of yourself and keep us posted on how the driving works out. surely they'll give you a 'break' because of the finger.

If KY is not an option, you'd also fit right in in CT. Haha

Sorry... had to laugh at that.

On a more serious note, I really do wish you the best, toot. I know, for me, whenever I have broken a bone, the doctors always gave me an estimated healing time but I always seemed to heal way earlier than what they said. I hope it's the same case with you!

I bet if you practice enough, though, you'll be able to nail that blinker function with no problem. I have faith in you!

I wish you no more falls and a speedy recovery! *super hug!*
