    Neuro confirms not MS

Followed up with my neuro yesterday (MRI after fall in May).

He said that I do not have MS and said that spoke with the local MS specialist that was also baffled.

Neuro stated that most of my symptoms are from the ruptured disk but he can't explain the recurrent dizziness (has not returned since steroids).

I asked him why the steroids and ms meds seemed to work. He said that steroids are used to treat herniations and that the MS meds didn't really do anything (other than leave marks and cause an allergy to act up).

Where do I go from here I asked. I call and go in if I have major symptoms again. They will re-check the disk and see if they need to do more than steroids.

He plans to speak with a different neurosurgeon and see if I need PT or a second opinion.

So, I guess I will leave the board. I will keep you all in mind. I appreciate the support and love I have received this past nearly two years. Thank you all so much.

    Wow

Wobbler, I am very glad you don't have MS but I am sorry to hear you still do not have any definite answers

    Be well and take care

Well, congrats. At least it isn't MS.
Still, stick around. You've been here about as long as me and someone needs to post about coping when life throws crap on your highway.
Besides, you have a very important voice and experience for the VA forum.

Wobbler - I hope that you really don't have MS, but it must be so hard to not have any concrete answers.

Take care of yourself and keep us posted - you don't really need to leave the board, do you ?

Be glad that you have something more treatable. I think this is a good warning to all those who self-diagnose and does show that neurologist are of some use

              Good luck!

Hmm... perplexing. Even your MS neuro is baffled...

Though I am glad for you, and DDisc issues are chronic and challenging ( have both) what do you think may be causing your neuro symptoms?

I would suggest ( ok beg) that you stay with us. You could go to the Limboland thread while you await a true diagnosis..what do you think?

Just hate to lose you..ya know?

                Hugs my friend, Jan

Bless your heart. Sending you lots of (((hugs)))

I think you should come to the island till you know just what is going on. I don't want you to go till your doctors have things worked out.
