medic alert charges a fortune to update!?
I wanted to update my info for my medic alert bracelet, they want 35 bucks "per update call" or 35 bucks per year for multiple updates over the year.
I might update it once every several years.
But 35 bucks...sheesh, bet they have a lot of members w/ wrong info listed!
I stayed on standard membership to pay if updated.
But be aware if you update online it will prob make it the 35 a year it almost did me. I called and they stopped it.
If you go to upgrade to 35 a year you CANT go back to standard! If you dont pay NO MEMBERSHIP at all for crisis!
Wow! Years ago it was so cheap, I remember when they first went to a fee it was grandfathered and no yearly fee if you joined a certain time.
I know 35 is cheap for life but I dont need to update often and Ive never used the thing and we are very tight financially.
Just wanted others to know.
PS: if youre on medicare or medicaid you can sign some sponsor waiver but I dont qaulify for that.
