The author made me laugh out loud and I was able to relate to many of her one-page inspirations. Not only does Stern give us a meaningful quote to ponder and her take on the topic on each page - which ranges from depression and rage to opportunity and wonder - but at the end of each page is an affirmation, a way to take action on our thoughts. I like this as a way to keep the positive energy flowing day to day.

Stern has a firm grip on life in general and life with MS. She offers a "no excuses" style of writing from one who knows what MS is like - she knows how it disrupts our lives but she dwells on the opportunities it brings to each of us to grow, learn, and expand our mental and physical boundaries.

This is a page turner. One to be read over and over so you can snatch a tad of her mental energy and keep it with you during the low days; so you can write a quote on a post-it note to remember there are others who understand; so you can take a phrase of hers and tuck it into the corner of your mind for that moment when you need a lift, a laugh, or an understanding friend.

As a chat host for MSWorld, I found many ideas to use as topics for a chat I may be hosting or co-hosting. Food for thought, you might say. Healthy food, too, where we can think and grow even though we work daily to live with our MS. It would be a useful tool for MS Support Group meetings.

This small book packs a powerful punch and is worth the $10+ you will pay for it. Sharing it as a gift for someone else with MS would also be a good investment.
Enjoy the read and my guess is you will hope she keeps writing!
