Zesty Pizza Casserole

1 lb ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion (optional)
1 jar of your favorite pizza sauce
1 ½ c. shredded Mozarella cheese
1 ½ c. shedded Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
8 oz tube refrigerator crescent rolls
Add any other toppings that you like, such as mushrooms, pepperoni, green pepper, etc.
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
2 Tbs. melted butter


Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a fry pan, brown ground beef and onion, drain. Stir in pizza sauce and stir. Heat till hot and bubbly.

Combine cheeses and sour cream and set aside.

Pour hot mixture into ungreased 9 x 13 pan. Spoon cheese and sour cream mixture over meat mixture. Separate crescent rolls and arrange on top. Mix melted butter and parmesan cheese and spread over top of rolls.

Bake about 25 minutes, or until rolls are brown.
