We adopted Penny last July (2004) from a shelter.

She is 8-years old and very lovable.

Penny’s Beef & Carrot Biscuits

submitted by Bob (aka BobM) and Karen Meunier

2 ½ cups whole wheat flour

½ cup powdered milk

½ tsp salt

½ tsp garlic powder

1 tsp brown sugar

½ cup grated carrots

6 Tbsp melted butter or margarine

1 egg, beaten

½ cup beef juices or broth

Mix first five ingredients together, set aside.

Whisk carrots, melted butter, egg and broth into a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet, mix until blended.

On a lightly floured surface roll out a quarter of the dough at a time and shape with your favorite cookie cutter.

Bake in a 350°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
