Manhattan MS Walk
April 24, 2005

submitted by Georgiana Diolosa, aka Georgied

The walk was at the South Street Sea Port in Manhattan.  We did the two and a half-mile walk but they had a seven-mile and 12-mile walk also. Those would have been a little long for me so we did the shorter walk along the East River. It was so beautiful!

I'm not sure what the total amount raised by our group was but it was close to $4,000

All the people in the large group shot (below) were employees from Commerce Bank. They were wonderful to come out and share the day with me and for people with MS.

The foursome photo (below), from the left, is my son Carson, me, my son Brandon, and my daughter-in-law Eileen, who works for the MS Society and is Carson's wife.

We had such a wonderful day and we will do it again for sure.

The sweatshirt I was wearing has all the names of everyone from MS Chat. I had so much fun making that and wearing it to show how many of us have MS. I felt like everyone was with me and I wore that shirt with great pride!

This huge crowd showed up for the walk!  I wanted everyone to see that there is so much support for the fight against this disease.

I LOVE THEM ALL.....
