HappyOP/Kelly MSWorld Host
Hi, my name is Kelly and I am a 40 year old who was diagnosed with MS in October of 2000. My first symptoms of MS were only pain in the back of my head and double vision. I am currently on Copaxone, and am feeling OK. I had also suffered from tonic seizures.
I was a "stay at home mom" up until about four years ago, at which time I entered the work force as a customer service representative for a major insurance company. I was working for only 3 years when the diagnosis of MS came and eventually I could not work any longer. This is what brought me to MSWorld. With losing my career and my friends because of this disease, I was in a desperate search for people who could understand and empathize with me about my MS. I found this and more when I came to this website. It has seen me through the transitions of diagnosis, denial, anger, bargaining, and finally acceptance of this disease.
I now want to help and be there for as many people as I can who haven't quite made it to the acceptance of MS yet. I also want to be a form of support for the ones that have adapted to living with MS and realize we still need someone to talk to about our troubles.
I have 4 children, 23 yr. old Megan, 18 yr. old Jayce, 14 yr. old Jack, and 10 yr. old Katy. I have finally married the man of my dreams, and we are now Happier than any other times in our life.
