My tribute to the era when one could take a trip and never leave the farm. And all I had was some Ice cream! tb

"Daydreams"
by Thomas M. Burgess

The stillness of dawn lasting the entire day, always the bluest of skies,

The sun shone its strength,

but taking care not to feed, only to nourish.

All of this as we dream the day away,

One can only smile as thoughts translate
into pictures,

Seemingly to give one a boundary that knows
no endings,

This all can happen in the daydream,

So dream, dream your day away,

tomorrow as well,

There is only a small window of opportunity
to crawl through,

Only a short amount of time one can take to decide,

Nothing to pack for this trip,

one will not even require their cares,

All will be provided for within this freedom,

As the stillness of the dawn lasts the entire day.
