There is no doubt Montel Williams has succeeded in making MS more visible and knowledge of the disease has increased because of his work and his foundation. (http://www.montelms.org/)
Many times he has people with MS spotlighted on his daytime talk show giving different points of view. He has even said that he fights the disease differently than most. We can imagine his monetary resources are not something the average person with MS can relate to.
This comment brings me to my book review. Maybe some people will relate to his manner of talking with even the first page being filled with what I call street language. I personally don't need to read the language that has infiltrated our television, movies, books and daily language. I found it offensive.
His treatments are extensive and expensive, I am sure. He goes overseas for treatment at times.
He talks openly about how his marriage and family are affected by MS and his lifestyle. He is honest.
If this is the type of book, or if Montel is a personality you follow and want to read about, you will get an eyeful in this book. It's just my "cup of tea," so to speak.
